Waikato Regional Theatre
Since mid 2024, our Cantec team has been steadily driving progress on site. Alongside the membrane works, we’ve taken on a wide range of critical scopes, including:
- Tanking
- Grouting to the Drossbachs and precast panels
- Precast panel jointing from ground level up to the Level 7 Flytower
- Epoxy flooring
- Interior Painting to the Hotel fitout
Over the past 18+ months, we’ve had a peak crew of 15 on site and installed approximately 3,000 rolls of membrane.
This project’s scale speaks for itself and we’re incredibly proud of our team’s dedication, expertise, and workmanship throughout the journey.

Cantec has completed numerous projects at Anchor, NZMP and Fonterra for over 35 years, including high-quality painting works, specialized flooring installations, and the application of durable membrane roofing and gutter systems. Ray Staiger
At the newly built Ray Staiger warehouse and HQ, constructed by Foster Construction, Cantec provided expert services including precast panel sealant, exterior and interior painting, intumescent coatings on structural steel, and specialized protective coatings. The result is a durable, high-quality finish throughout the facility.
Waitomo Caves
Cantec was proud to undertake the interior painting of the renowned Waitomo Caves attraction. Our work enhances the visitor experience while preserving the natural beauty and atmosphere of this iconic New Zealand landmark.

Forrest Road Substation
Cantec played a key role in the new build of the Forrest Road Substation, providing under slab waterproofing/tanking systems, precast panel jointing, drypacking, grouting for base plates and structural steel beam connections. We also applied specialised interior floor coatings and completed minor interior painting to ensure a high-quality finish
Peacockes
Cantec applied specialised epoxy coatings to multiple areas of the Peacockes Road Wastewater Treatment Plant, including wet wells and buffer tanks. These durable coatings ensure long-lasting protection and enhanced performance in critical environments.
Braemar Hospital Extension
Cantec delivered the complete exterior and interior painting package for the Braemar Hospital extensions, providing a high-quality finish that complements the modern design of this healthcare facility.
Lakewood Cambridge
Cantec expertly handled the exterior and interior painting for the new Lakewood Cambridge development, which includes shopping areas, cafés, hotel and apartment townhouses. Our work features a high-level paint finish on the exposed feature steelwork, enhancing the modern aesthetic of this vibrant community space.
Convex Plastics
Cantec contributed to the new Convex Plastics warehouse and office in Hamilton by performing precast panel jointing, drossbach grouting, and applying intumescent coatings. Our team also completed the exterior and interior painting, including feature walls with stylish wallpaper finishes.
Breckons Farm
This architecturally designed, state-of-the-art stables complex with two new stables and 48 boxes includes a connected and fully-equipped function and entertainment centre with floor-to-ceiling windows offering picturesque views of the horse parade area and farm.
